NSS 2007 - IFIP International Workshop on Network and System Security

In conjunction with IFIP International Conference on Network and Parallel Computing (NPC 2007)
The inaugural IFIP International Workshop on Network and System Security (NSS 2007) was held on September 18-19, 2007, in Dalian, China. Overall, 50+ people attended the event. The full room and hot discussion showed great interests from the attendees. The NSS 2007 received 67 submissions which were reviewed by 88 PC members and reviewers. The submissions were from 10 countries in America, Asia, Europe and Oceania.
The "Best Paper Award" was given to Prof Shun-Zheng Yu and his team at Sun Yat-Sen University. The paper is entitled "Inference of One-Way Queuing Delay Distribution Using Packet-Pair Probes without Clock Synchronization". All the papers in this workshop were published in IEEE Computer Society proceedings (EI, ISTP and INSPEC indexed). The proceedings has been indexed by ISTP (ISI Proceedings) now. The proceedings has been available in IEEE Xplore and IEEE Computer Society Digital Library.
We selected some best papers to two journal special issues. They are Journal of Network and Computer Applications (SCI and EI indexed) special issue on Network and Systems Security, and International Journal of Computer Systems Science and Engineering (SCI and EI indexed) special issue on Network Attacks and Defense Systems.
